Jammu, Apr 15: Jammu and Kashmir Government today ordered suspension of two officials of Consumer Affairs & Public Distribution (CAPD) and attached one TSO on the complaints of alleged misappropriation of food-grains. "Acting on the complaints against alleged misappropriation of food-grains at CAPD outlets Noori A&B in district Kupwara, Minister for Consumer Affairs & Public Distribution, Choudhary Zulfkar Ali today suspended and attached TSO, Abdul Rashid Payar with Assistant Director, Srinagar (North) besides placing Storekeeper Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Lone under suspension, CAPD officials said. They said, "The Minister directed the Assistant Director North to conduct a detailed enquiry into the matter and submit the report within next 10 days." Meanwhile in a separate action, the CAPD minister also placed under suspension of Mangat Ram, TSO of Batyas in Doda district, for allegedly withholding ration of the area for two months, which was to be distributed among the consumers of Mannu, Kota and other adjoining areas, officials said. "Minister has asked Assistant Director CAPD Doda to probe the matter, they added. |
