| RR dedicates Micro Hydel Project to ‘Hard villagers’ | | |
Jammu June 18- The Commanding Officer of local RR battalion at Arnora in Doda district today inaugurated and handed over a Micro Hydel Project at Hard village, completed at a cost of over Rs. three lakhs under Operation Sadbhavana.
The project taken up in 2006-07 has been completed in a record time and would benefit the people of the village who have been facing acute problem due meager and erratic power supply.
The inaugural function was well attended by the prominent citizens of the area and officers of the civil administration and appreciated the efforts being made by the RR in providing basic amenities of life to the people.
Speaking on the occasion, the Commanding Officer was of the sanguine opinion that such projects and efforts will help wean away local population from the impact of terrorism and bring further normalcy in the area.
