| JPF condemns police brutality on refugees | | |

The Jammu Peoples Front has strongly condemned the police lathi chrge on the innocent refuges and others at Jhiri Kanachak.
Satish Poonchi President, JPF has demanded a judicial enquiry for using cane charge on the refugees and others who basically wanted to put their demands before Mehbooba Mufti, President PDP. He said that instead of allowing them to meet PDP President, the police used lathies on the mob leading to injuries to several people and also arrest of some of them for raising anti- national slogans.
The eye witnesses said that the demonstration was peaceful and no anti-national slogans were raised by the demonstrators.
Earlier the newly elected body of JPF headed by Poonchi (President) along with vice president Masrat Ahmad Jan, General. Secretary Satish Sawhney and District President of Women wing of the Front Meena Kumari and General Secretary and other party members also supported the genuine demands of the ITI Diploma holders.
