| Cop die, 8 others injured in road mishap | | |
Srinagar June 17
A constable of Jammu Kashmir police died and eight others were injured when a police vehicle they were traveling in turn turtle at Satkipora area of Pahalgam in south Kashmir, late last night.
Official sources told News Agency of Kashmir that a Bunker vehicle of SOG Camp Srigufwara bearing registration number JK03A-3819 turned turtle at Satkipora, falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Srigufwara resulting in on the spot death of a cop and injure eight others.
Deceased constable has been identified as Sukhvinder Kumar @ Bunty No. 247/AP 14th battalion.
He was shifted to DPL Anantnag, while five critically injured have been referred to Srinagar for treatment. Police has registered a case in this regard and has taken up investigations.
