| PDP, NC main hurdle in solution of refugees’ problem: Sambyal | | | Jammu, June 17 Blaming National Conference and Peoples Democratic Party for the delay in the solution of refugee's problem Congress Seva Dal Chief Balwinder Singh Sambyal today said that both the parties were the main hurdle, which is evident from their resentment during the recent meeting of the committee set up for the purpose. Addressing public meetings in Bishna and vijaypur, he said that congress was serious about the settlement of the refugees issue but other parties do not want to settle them as they apprehend that it may raise the strength of the voters of the Jammu division. Sambyal said these parties for their political interests play cards and tries to create an edge between the congress and refugees. He said that PDP and NC walked out from the meeting when the issue came for discussion table in a committee set-up by the Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad. He blamed PDP for playing vote politics by raising demilitarization issue, which they must know would not materialize as the ground situation of the state is not better. "Why the issue was not taken up during the previous three years when PDP party patron Mufti Muhammed Sayeed was heading the Government" he questioned and asked the PDP leaders to give up the vote politics if they are really sincere to the people of the state. A deputation of refugees called on the Seva Dal chief, who gave them patient hearing and assured them that his party will strive for their rights and other benefits. He asked them to remain cautious from the policies of anti national forces who want to divide the state by mis-leading them. He said that center government has already given the right to vote for parliament and right to vote in the state assembly was to decide by the state government which PDP don't want. He also asked them not to fall in hands of other forces like Shiv Sena who are using the refugees for their personal gains. Those who accompanied the Seva Dal chief include Anil Sharma P Manhas, Arvind Sharma, Raj Kumar, Charanjeet Salathia, and R N Bhagat.(NAK)
