| Artillery trekking expedition flagged off | | |

A Trekking Team of a Medium Artillery Regiment of the Tiger Division was flagged off from Brahmana Di Bari, today by Major General Sanjeev Loomba, SM, General Officer Commanding, Tiger Division. The trekking team comprises of eleven members, which includes one officer, two Junior Commissioned Officers and eight other ranks. The challenging seven days trek being undertaken by the Regiment involves a move across the rugged mountains of Lahaul Spiti in Himachal Pradesh at heights upto 14000 ft. The trekking has been organized , amongst a series of events, to commemorate the SILVER JUBILEE YEAR of the elite MEDIUM REGIMENT, as also foster a spirit of adventure and a sense of camaraderie amongst all the personnel. The General Officer Commanding, Tiger Division while addressing the gathering during the flag off, stressed on the importance of such events in the Army which not only promote bonding amongst officers, JCOs and men but also expose all ranks to adventure and risks, which is so very important in the growth of a solider and holds them is good stead during war, said a PIB (Defence Wing) release.
