| Protest against low representation of locals in industries held | | |
SAMBA | June 18
J&K National Conference of organized a rally to protest against coalition government’s alleged failure in providing jobs to 90 per cent local youth in the Industrial Growth Center Samba and Bari Brahmana, Jammu, in front of District Development Commissioner’s Office Samba today.
The protest rally was organized under the presidentship of S.N. Manyal. RL Gupta, Sheikh Bashir Ahmed also participated in the rally.
While addressing the rally senior NC leader Ajay Sadhotra charged the Government for its utter failure to address the problems of the people in the state. He said government has closed eyes towards steep price rise and common masses who the worst sufferers.
Sadhotra assured that NC shall give full support to the youth who are fighting for their right cause and National Conference is convinced that in Bari Brahmana and Industrial Gowth Center Samba 90 p c local youth were not provided jobs as per the agreement reached between the industrialists and the government.
He said the then Union Minister Omar Abdullah and the then Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah got sanctioned the scheme to provide jobs to the local youth, but it is unfortunate that the coalition government is sabotaging this.
They also presented a memorandum to DC Samba.
