| JKNPP’s withdrawal of support a ‘political gimmick: Chib | | |
SAMBA | June 18 MLC and Vice President Pradesh Congress Committee R.S. Chib while addressing one day Congress Convention at Block Samba said that the withdrawal of support by J&K National Panthers Party is a political gimmick. He sad the Panthers Party has acted thus since the party was not given representation in the council of ministers. Chib added that the charges leveled by Panthers Party in charge sheet and which was handed over to Sonia Gandhi, is absolutely concocted and without any base. Hhe said that the Panthers Party has shared the power for more than three years and in all decisions taken by the coalition government, Panthers was part and parcel. “This support has been also been withdrawn keeping in view the coming Assembly elections,” he added. Chib said that the Samba has been given district status because of the farsightedness of Ghulam Nabi Azad which has taken many pro-people decisions in a very short span of time as chief Minister. The people of Samba should remain gave grateful to the Congress party and its leader. He further said that Samba is slowly developing into a very important industrial hub for which the credit goes to the Congress Party and the present government. The industrial Growth Centre at Samba will provide an opportunity to the thousands of youth of Jammu to get employment in the private sector. Chib congratulated Mangat Ram Sharma who is looking after the Industries department and he has played a vital role in the development of Industrial Growth Centre at Samba. Chib said that keeping in view the performance of the Government under the leadership of Azad, he has no doubt in his mind that the Congress will emerge as a victorious during coming elections.
