| BDF calls on Chief Minister | | |
Bhaderwah, June 18 A deputation of Bhaderwah Development Forum led by its president Abdul Hafeez Khateeb met with Chief Minister Gulam Nabi Azad here yesterday at apprised him about various problems of the area.
The deputation demanded grant of adequate compensation to the farmers of village Athkar whose land was acquired for establishing the Campus of University of Jammu at Bhaderwah. They also expressed their displeasure over the slow pace of progress on the campus and urged for accelerating the same so that the ambitious project could be completed within the stipulated time frame.
However, the deputation conveyed their gratitude to the Chief Minister for undertaking massive developmental works in Bhaderwah area as also organizing a tourist festival that would help to boost tourism in the area.
