| Unemployed ITI diploma holders organize protest rally | | |
Jammu | June 18 All J&K unemployed ITI Diploma holders association organized a huge protest rally here today to press the government to concede its demand of engaging the unemployed diploma holders as Rebar-e- Bijlee in PDD while their dharna entered into 71st day today. The unemployed diploma holders organized a massive protest a protest rally lambasting Government for its indifferent attitude towards the demands of unemployed electricians. The protestors shouting slogans “Hamari Mange Poori Karo, Rehbart-Bijlee Lagoo Karo” and carrying banners, placards marched through several bazaars of Jammu city to focus the attention of the government towards their legitimate demands. Chairman of the Association Rakesh Sharma while addressing the protestors blamed the Government for not taking their demands seriously and warned of serious consequences if the government failed to concede their demands. “The Government is providing jobs to those people who are related with the militancy but not those who are getting degrees by wasting precious time and money in getting education”, he alleged. Regretting that the two member committee constituted by the Chief Minister to go into the issue has not submitted its report within the fixed time frame of 10 days and warned to intensify the stir if the demand was not accepted by the government at the earliest. Those who addressed the protestors included Vimal Dev Singh, Swaran Lal and, Sartaj Singh.
