Development Forum Udhampur (DFU) has appealed to the Governor of the state and administration of Jammu Province to allow the vehicles of those Amarnath Yarties Udhampur who want to have night halt at Udhampur.
In a press release Rajinder Kumar, President of Forum has alleged that since the last year vehicle of yatries were stopped by the police nakas at Samba and Battal at the behest of vested interests from proceedings towards Udhampur via Dhar Road and this act has ruined the economy of areas around Dhar Road in general and Udhampur District in particular. He warned that if same conspiracy was played this year again with the people of Udhampur and some areas of Kathua District the entire responsibility for subsequences will be on the govt. the release said.
