| 4 killed, 3 injured in head on collision | | |

Four people died and three others got serious injuries in an accident when a tempo travel collided with a truck at Tikri area in Udhampur.
According to reports last night a tempo travel number JK02S/8109 who were on its way from Srinagar to Jammu collided with a truck no JK02J/9295 who was coming from Udhampur failing to negotiate the steering wheel resulting into killing of four persons and leaving others injured.
The deceased have been identified as namely Kanta Devi wife of Bishan Dass resident of Ramnagar, Narinder Sharma son of Raghu Nath resident of Ludhiana, Som Dutt (tempo driver) son of Faquir Chand resident of Billawar and Raghu Ram son of Puri resident of Rajashtan where declared as brought dead.
The injured has been identified as Raj Kumar son of Shiv Ram resident of Ramnagar, Puran Singh son of Janak Singh resident of Srinagar and Hira Lal son of Sadhu Ram resident of Gurdaspur, Punjab and they were admitted in hospital for treatment. Police has also registered a case in this regard and seized the accidental vehicles and investigating the matter.
