| CBI presents challan against the then cashier KV Miransahib | | |
JAMMU, JUNE 20- Central Bureau of Investigation/ ACB Jammu has presented challan against the then cashier GC Rajgotra Kendriya Vidhyala Miran-Sahib, for allegedly misappropriating Rs 47339, in the Court of Special Judge Anticorruption Jammu. CBI/ACB recommended departmental action against the then Principal KK Azad for allegedly committing negligence in performing his duty as Drawing and Disbursing Officer
According to the challan, KK Azad while working as Principal KV School Miran-Sahib and GC Rajgotra as cashier during the year 2000-2002 dishonestly and fraudulently, by abusing official position in conspiracy with each-other, committed offences of cheating and criminal breach of trust by way of collecting the amount from various teachers who collected fee on account Vidhyalaya Vikas Nidhi Fund etc from the students on different dates but did not deposit the entire amount collected as per record in the bank account of KV School Miran-Sahib.
During investigation it has been established that a total amount of Rs 47339 has been embezzled by GC Rajgotra, the then Cashier KV School Miran-Sahib from January 1, 2001 to November 29, 2001 by not accounting for the same in the school record and not depositing the said amount in the bank. Therefore, it is prima-facie established that GC Rajgotra has willfully and knowingly misappropriated Rs 47339 and thereby caused wrongful gain to himself and loss to KV School Miran Sahib. Facts prima-facie disclosed commission of offence punishable u/s 409/ 477-A RPC r/w section 5(2) r/w section 5(1) (c) J&K PC Act 2006 committed by GC Rajgotra. Regarding KK Azad, the departmental action was taken against him as recommended by the CBI.
