Early Times Report kathua, Apr 28: District Administration Kathua is organizing 3-days Heritage / Employment and Health Mela at Basholi from 1st -3rd May 2015 in the premises of Jawhar Novdya Vidhyalya Basohli. According to press release, a meeting of officers of various departments was convened by Incharge Deputy Commissioner (ADC Kathua) Dr. Mushtaq Ahmed at conference hall of the DC Office Complex here today. ADDC Kathua S. Manmohan Singh, ACD Kathua, PO ICDS,PO DRDA, GM DIC kathua, CEO, CMO XEN PHE,XEN PWD Basohli Division and Officers of line departments attended the meeting. Minister for Health and Medical Education and AIR & Training Ch. Lal Singh will be inaugurating Heritage and Health Mela on 1st May 2015. Incharge Deputy Commissioner Dr. Mushtaq Ahmed while addressing the officers said that Directorate of Health Jammu, Mission Directorate NRHM J&K, Directorate ISM and other sister organizations of health Department shall organize the Health Mela and SDM Basholi S.Gurmukh Singh will be Nodal Mela Officer for logistics and other arrangements. CMO Kathua will be the coordinator for health Mela. To showcase the heritage of Basholi, there shall be a special compartments to exhibit the Basholi painting, Pashmina Shawls, local handicrafts, places of Tourism importance, monuments. CEO LSDA will display the photographs of scenic beauty of the area. The directions were passed to the various departments to install their stalls exhibiting the employment scheme / programmes to aware the unemployed educated youth to establish their own income generating units. Information Department Kathua, BDO Basholi and CEO were given the responsibility to organize the cultural programme during the 3 -days Mela. Directions were also passed to banks and NGO'S to install their stalls at the venue. During this meeting seating arrangement, transportation, security arrangements at venue, Fire Tender, Health and first aid, drinking water, sanitation, publicity, PA system, allotment and management of stalls were discussed. The directions were passed to Power Development Department for uninterrupted power supply at the venue, while XEN PHE was asked for ensuring drinking water at the venue. CEO Kathua was directed to ensure that maximum number of students should visit the Health Mela for the medical checkup. EO Municipal Committee was directed to ensure proper sanitation in and around the venue during the 3 -days Mela. CMO Kathua was directed to establish a first aid centre at a prominent place with ambulances at the venue. |
