| Two killed in grenade blast in J&K | | |
SRINAGAR June 20
A militant and a civilian were killed while five others including three security men were injured in a grenade blast inside a house in Bandipora district of Kashmir this morning.
Reports from area said that acting on specific information the troops of 56 battalion BSF and police jointly launched a house to house search operation in Muslamabad in Bandipora Wednesday morning. During the search operation as soon as the search party entered into the house of one Ghulam Nabi Zargar who tried to hurl a grenade on them but the explosive device exploded in his hand killing him on the spot, reports said.
Two other family members of Ghulam and three BSF personnel were injured in the explosion. The three BSF personnel were shifted to nearby camp for medical treatment, whereas the injured civilians were shifted to SMHS Srinagar hospital, the reports added.
