| Plus two Lecturers hold meeting | | | Early Times Report
Kathua, Apr 30: A meeting of plus two lectures held at Kathua, aiming to create unity among members. Participants expressed their views and urged both factions PSC plus two lecturers and DPC plus two lecturers to change their selfish ,personal ,self centred agenda and for the cause of broader unity accommodate the PSC and DPC lecturers in both their central pannels as well as district president elections. They also urged to amend the plus two lecturers Forum constitution to make it convenient to all lecturers to contest the elections. Amar Nath Thakur in his address said that he is trying to bring both faction on the common platform. He said that it is unconstitutional, undemocratic and illegal to debar a lecturer who has not completed two years as lecturer to contest the election. He said this condition cannot be applicable to lecturers who are serving in the department for last 20 to 30 years as teacher and master and are serving as Incharge Lecturers now. He urged the central election body to extend the date of nomination and amend the constitution. He also said that if panels are not changed giving representation to all regions and all names should not be from Jammu district only both factions should give representation to other districts and adjust in their panels direct appointee lecturers and departmental promoted lecturers. |
