| Rakhi celebrated at Air Force School | | | Udhampur, Aug. 9
Air Force School Udhampur, celebrated “Raksha Bandhan” with traditional fervour and gaiety in which Station Commander Group Captain G. Amar Babu VM and Air Warriors Participated. This was stated here by a press release issued by the School.
The kids from Nursery to class V tied Rakhis to The Statuion Commander and other dignitaries. These Rakhis hasd been prepared by children themselves.
Explaining the importance of Raksha Bandhan The Station Commander said that , not only is the celebration a mark of tying a sacred thread but it also signifies the pledge of a brother to protect his sister as also a bond of brotherhood between strong and weak. This festival teaches us that the strong should protect the weak. He congratulated the children for preparing Rakhis. Sweets were given away among kids, the release said.
