Rescue work of tourists in Ladakh floods.

Army is carrying out sustained and continued relief and rescue operations to evacuate the tourists- foreign as well as domestic- marooned in floods, it said in its release.
GOC HQ ‘s 14 corps visited Marhka and Fara areas in Zanskar valley to personally monitor rescue operations and interact with the local people. Over a tonne of food materials and medicine was airdropped. Marooned tourists and others hadfirst contact with outer world after six days, the release said.
