| Crime Branch presents challan in cheating case | | | Jammu, Aug. 9
Crime Branch Jammu has presented challan against one Accused Gurdeep Kour @ Guddi Kour W/O Tirlok Singh R/O Banday Bagh, Budgam Kashmir at present preet Nagar Jammu and other co-accused, in a cheating/ fraud etc. case in Chief Judicial Magistrate Jammu’s Court.
According to a press release, issued here by C.B., the above named accused along with her co-accused namely Shyam Saroop Padha S/O Vidya Prakash Padha R/O 147/3 Chani Himmat Jammu has been framed under FIR NO: 26/98 U/S 420/120-B for getting herself registered as a migrant on false grounds in 1990 at Nanak Nagar –II Relief Camp. She is alleged to declared on oath that she had migrated from her home, whereas her husband- a petty shopkeeper- had stayed away in person but the said person is a Police Inspector and she herself was staying at Jammu in Quarter No: 109 Block 4 allotted to her husband in Police Colony , Gulshan Ground, Jammu.
She has drawn, the release said, cash relief of Rs. 5100/- Rice 3087 kgs, wheat 686 kgs and 49 kgs of sugar w.e.f. 6/1990 to 6/’90 from the concerned Relief Zone, the release said, causing loss to Government Exchequer.
Accused Shyam Saroop Padha attested her “D” Form, declaring that her husband was not a Govt. Employee and her address in Jammu was Nanak Nagar., the release further added.
Crime Branch Jammu obtained all the relevant record i.e documentary/ oral implicating both the accomplices and produced the challan in the court of Hon’ble CJM Jammu.
