| 5 detained as Police raids Kashmir restaurants, Cyber Cafes | | | Srinagar June 21 Jammu and Kashmir police detained five teen aged boys after they were found in an objectionable posture during raids in city Restaurants and Cyber cafes, here today. Following the complaints from some circles and parents about the clandestine activities in the Cyber cafes, the police raided were conducted. "Many boys and girls were seen in objectionable postures", a police officer told Kashmir based agency adding that five boys were detained and their parents have been informed. He said "Parents of different areas of the city were complaining that their wards including students of secondary, higher secondary and graduation levels mostly teenagers would stray into Cyber Cafe and restaurants instead of attending classes in their respective institutions. Acting on complaints Police team from Kothibagh today conduct raids and inspected around two dozen Restaurants and Cyber Cafes in Regal Chowk, Dr. Ali Jan Plaza and Polo view areas of the city, official sources said, adding during inspection restaurant and cyber café owners were instructed to do away with the cabins. "During these inspections many boys and girls were seen in objectionable postures" police said adding, five boys were detained and their parents have been asked to collect them from Police station Kothibagh. Police action has been highly hailed by the Public in general and the shopkeepers of the area in particular, police claimed.
