| Army hands over Pakistani girl to Pak authorities | | | Jammu | June 21 Pakistani girl who was arrested by Indian army on Wednesday at Mendhar sector soon after she crossed towards Indian side today was handed over to Pakistani authorities in the presence of some civilian. Pakistani girl who had been identified as Anida Khan Daughter of Mendhik Khan Resident of Kethar today was handed over to the Pak authorities after official formalities. According to reports Wednesday a Pakistani girl crossed towards Indian side and was arrested by the army in Mendhar sector. Reports from the area also added that girl was not willing to go back to her home as she was being forced to marry a person of her choice. Reports further said the girl during the investigation told the investigating team that she had crossed the border unintentionally but she doesn't now want to go home. Refusing to marry on the wishes of her family the homeward journey for the girl was full of tears as she was repeatedly saying she doesn’t want to go back to her people they will get him married against her wishes. Reports said that senior officers in a meeting decided to repatriate the girl back and thus a message was conveyed to Pak Army Officials and then she was handed over to Pakistani authorities and civilian in the presence of Thesildar and some other officers.
