Early Times Report
NEW DELHI, May 4: Speaking at an Intellectual Meet organized by "Forum for Awareness of National Security" (FANS) here today, Union Minister of State PMO, Dr Jitendra Singh said, India is destined to lead the world and in very near future, sooner than later, India will assume a role which would be emulated by the rest of the nations. Dr Jitendra Singh said, the indicators of this emerging phenomenon have become more than visible in the last few months from the manner in which Prime Minister Narendra Modi is receiving an overwhelmingly enthusiastic response in whichever country he visits. The point to be realized is that this kind of response is happening on two accounts... first, the imposing presence of Narendra Modi among the world's Heads of States, which projects him as somebody who has the potential to lead from the front. The second factor behind the eulogizing response being received by India is that, unlike in the past, there is a political dispensation which is stable with two-third majority and is constantly moving forward on a fast-track. Time has arrived, Dr Jitendra Singh said, when India would not have to motivate or convince the neighbouring countries in the subcontinent and the South Asia to come round to its point of view, but on the contrary, all these nations will be constrained to fall in line and follow the path chosen by India. India's supremacy, in the years to come, would not be established through military might or aggressive posturing, but sheerly on the strength of its economic, scientific and academic excellence, he added. |
