| Development schemes gaining momentum: Dorje | | |
Leh | June 21 Ladakh witnessed a spectacular progress on various development projects during the last fiscal. This was said by Chief Executive Councillor Chering Dorje at a function organized to bid farewell to the Chief Executive Officer LAHDC, Leh M.K. Dwivedi who has been recently from here. Elaborating on the developmental activities and the achievements registered in one year, Dorje appreciated the personal endeavors of Dwivedi in completion of works, removal of pending claims and above all conducting interviews and filling up of vacancies in a very transparent manner. He said due to Dwivedi’s initiative, a guest house is being constructed at New Delhi for which land has acquired and construction is under progress. Dwivedi in his address said that his tenure of one year and four months at Leh has been very successful adding that Leh district is registering a good progress with active participation of the district officers and close supervision of the public elected representatives. If the same pace continues, Leh district would be at the top among other districts of the country, he said. He said that the CDR ratio has reached up to 20% from 11% two years back, which also speaks of the growing economic conditions of the people.
