| Works under RIDF reviewed. | | | KATHUA, JUNE 21 A High-level meeting of officers was convened to review the progress on works being executed under Rural Infrastructure Development Funding (RIDF) of (NABARD) here at Kathua today. District Development Commissioner, Sarita Chauhan presided while Chief General Manager, NABARD A.K. Mathur was the chief guest on the occasion. Threadbare discussions were held on various works to be taken under RIDF besides expatiating guidelines of the scheme. The NABARD authorities also informed the meeting that there is a provision for selecting one village for developing as a model village in each district, which lacks the basic infrastructural development. The DDC exhorted the officers to identify such village which really lacks the infrastructural development and needs to be developed as model village She also urged upon the bankers to provide liberal assistance to the prospective entrepreneurs for setting up Agri. business and Agri clinics. A.K. Mathur unveiled various schemes under NABARD for the development of roads, buildings, Hospitals, Schools, PHE and said that the appropriate projections are necessary for getting the schemes sanctioned well in time. He said that works with total allocation of Rs. 600 crore are in progress in the state under various schemes, which are to be completed with in two-three years.
