| DM prohibits transportation of bovine animals | | |
UDHAMPUR, JUNE 21 - The District Magistrate O P Kalandira has banned transportation of bovine animals outside the territorial jurisdiction of Udhampur district. The District Magistrate has imposed prohibitory orders to transport bovine animals such as cows, ox, bulls and buffaloes outside Udhampur district with immediate effect. The ban will remain in force for two months.
Transportation of such animals could however be made subject to the prior permission from the District Magistrate, Udhampur on production of a certificate issued by a qualified Veterinary doctor. The mode of transport timing of move and number of animals to be carried out shall be governed as per the conditions prescribed under the permit. This order shall not apply to those Government agencies who carry the animals for departmental purpose.
