| Ganai assures fulfillment of genuine demands to CSLGEU | | | Srinagar June 21 - Principal Secretary General Administration Department, Khursheed Ahmad Ganai has assured the office bearers of Civil Secretariat Lower Grade Employees Union (CSLGEU) that promotional chances of Class-IV employees would be explored to maximize their benefits. Ganai in a meeting with the employees of Civil Secretariat here today said that the matter regarding deputation of Class IV employees from field offices to overcome the dearth of staff in the Civil Secretariat would be reviewed to address the grievances of the Secretariat Class IV employees. With regard to provision of residential accommodation to lower grade employees, Ganai asked the Director Estates to adopt a proper policy for allotment of residential accommodation to the Class IV employees of Civil Secretariat as per their seniority. He said that Rs 3.50 lakh have been kept available to provide uniforms to the class IV employees of Civil Secretariat. Referring to the other demands put forth by the employees Ganai assured them that their genuine and justified demands would be considered sympathetically. He said that the lower grade employees are an integral and essential part of administration who works with utter dedication even during odd hours. He maintained that improvement in work culture invites progress and only under such circumstances one can deserve appreciation and encouragement. He asked them to be more dedicated to have their role in efficient working of the administration. Director Estates,. B. A. Runyal, President CSLGEU. Abdul Majid Bhat, Vice President Narayan Dutt, Secretary Farooq Ahmad and other office bearers and officers of GAD were also present in the meeting.
