| CB registers case against ReT in fictitious certificate case | | |
Jammu June 22- Crime Branch has registered a case against one Balbir Singh son of Kartar Singh of Mana R S Pura for managing his appointment as ReT teacher in Education Department by submitting fake and fictitious qualification certificate.
Acting on a complaint, received from AIG Headquarters, stating therein that the alleged accused Balbir Singh was selected as a ReT following submission of fake and fictitious qualification certificates, the Crime Branch registered a case and took up the investigation.
A Crime Branch spokesman said here today that a preliminary inquiry was ordered in the case and during the investigation the inquiry officer collected all relevant records and also recorded the statement of the concerned.
He said during the investigation it has transpired that the alleged accused has managed to obtain duplicate copies of certificates in respect of another person namely Balbir Singh, an employee of Police department and got selected as ReT on the basis of these fake certificates. He is also reported to have got himself regularized after completing five years service in the Education Department thereby causing huge loss to the state exchequer, the spokesman added.
The spokesman said that the Crime Branch has taken cognizance into the matter and the in depth investigation is going on.
