| Yash Pal demands early Panchayat elections in J&K | | | Jammu June 22- JKPCC, Vice- President Yash Pal Khajuira, has demanded holding of fresh panchayat election in Jammu and Kashmir adding that the elections held during the National Conference government were totally partial , improper and an eye wash to befool the people. Speaking at a function organized by DCC General Secretary Harbans Lal at Akhnoor to welcome him while he was en- route to the tour of Rajouri district, Khajuria demanded holding of fresh elections to the panchayat bodies at the earliest to empower these bodies in decision making and formulating plans at the grass roots level. Harbans Bral who also spoke on the occasion demanded early recruitment of the youth as class IV for which the interviews were conducted few months back. Expressing concern over the growing unemployment problems especially in rural areas, Bral demanded a special recruitment drive in Army, Police and para military forces for the unemployed youth of Jammu district adding that similar drives have already been conducted in other districts. He said the state has witnessed tremendous development during the last one and a half year rule of Azad led coalition government in the state adding that ‘while NC regime was known for corruption and nepotism’, the present government is credited with ‘massive development, peace and prosperity’. Amolak Singh, Rajiv Saraf, NSUI President, Babu Ram, Sain Pangotra, Jia Lal and Dhani Ram were among others present.
