Jammu | June 22 The activists of J&K Government Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) in a meeting took stock of the situation arising due to the ongoing dharna of ousted employees of excise and commercial taxes department which entered 143rd day here today. Anwar Beig, EJAC convenor who chaired the meeting appealed the government to concede the long pending demands of ousted employees, who are thrown out on roads after putting more than eight years of service in the department. He said, EAJC has decided to meet the Chief Minister shortly as the authorities have adopted the delaying tactics, with the result these retrenched employees are suffering badly. Among others who attend the meeting were Satish Sharma, Subash Chander, Sawtantar Bakshi, Girdhari Lal Chanda, Pradeep Sharma, Sushil Sudan, Amrik Singh, Kartar Chand, Ravinder Singh, Com. Bachan Lal, Marx Gill, Ajay Sharma, Vijay Lalotra, Prem Pal Singh and Swaran Singh.
