| HC granted bail in fake certificate case of ReT | | | JAMMU, JUNE 22 Vacation Judge of Jammu & Kashmir High Court Jammu wing Justice JP Singh today granted interim bail to Ritu Sharma allegedly involved in fake certificate case. The petitioner this bail application in the High Court through Advocate Abhinav Sharma in which it has been submitted that crime Branch has registered a case u/s 420, 467, 468, 471 RPC r/w section 5 of J&K prevention of Corruption Act 2006. Justice JP Singh after hearing Adv Abhinav Sharma appearing for the petitioner and also gone through the certificates placed on record observed that in view of the case projected the by the counsel for the petitioner and till the prosecution is heard in the matter, Court is of the view that petitioner needs to be protected till her bail application is heard by the competent Court of jurisdiction. With these observations Court disposed of bail application with a direction that in the event of petitioner’s arrest by the respondents, she shall be admitted to bail by the arresting officer/ IO on her furnishing personal bond and surety bond in the amount of Rs 10,000 each. Court further said that this order shall remain in operation for a period of 4 weeks, providing opportunity to the petitioner to move the competent Court for seeking consideration of her bail application. It is worthwhile to mention here that the Crime Branch Jammu booked persons including applicant Ritu Sharma for allegedly producing fake academic certificates to get appointment as Rehbar-e-Taleem in the Poonch District.
