| DIS starts week long programme on "mission broom" | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu,May21:Doon International School Jammu today began one week long program on "mission Broom" inspired by Hon'ble PM Modi's 'Swatchh Bharat Abhiyan'. According to press release,The students along with the staff took out a ralley from Shahidi Chowk which was flagged off by Commissioner Income Tax B. B. Singh who appreciated this noble initiative. The students were carrying inspiring placards and banners and shouted slogans like "Clean India Green India", "We are waste warriors", "We pledge to keep the city clean" . The students along with their Principal Vikesh Kaur, Coordinator Priyanka Singh and other teachers cleaned a patch from Residency Road to Raghunath Bazar. The onlookers were overwhelmed to see the zeal and enthusiasm projected by the students of Doon International School Jammu. The students also presented a "Nukkad Natak" depicting the need of the hour i.e. cleanliness of all around the city. Doon International School Jammu has begun this mission not only to clean the surroundings but also to inspire the cleanliness of mind and soul among the people. The Chairman G. N. Tantray and The Principal Vikesh Kaur were highly obliged by the Municipal and Police department who showed their unconditional support and concern for this mission |
