| Cop kidnapped by unknown militants | | |
Srinagar June 25
Unidentified identified gunmen suspected to be the militants abducted a police official after they barged in his residential house in village Naibug of Awantipora in South Kashmir, late last night.
The cop was posted in 3rd security wing of Jammu and Kashmir police presently posted in Srinagar.
Official sources disclosed that a Head Constable posted in third security of Jammu and Kashmir police was abducted by some unidentified gunmen suspected to be the militants from his house in Naibug Village falling under jurisdiction of Awantipora police station.
He has been identified as Head constable Farooq Ahmad Tantray No 481/3rd Security, son of Mohammad Afzal resident of Naibug.
Police has registered a case in this regard and has taken up investigations.
