| Bail of accused in sensational attempt to murder case rejected | | | JAMMU, JUNE 25- Duty Magistrate, Jammu, Mr. Sudhir Kumar Khajuria, today rejected bail application of Sunny Choudhary s/o Girdhari Lal Choudhary of Bari-Brahamana, Jammu, involved in a sensational attempt to murder case. Duty Magistrate on the application filed by the accused for grant of bail called the report from the Police Post Greater Kailash in FIR NO 38/2007 for offences u/s 307/34/120-B RPC r/w 4/25 Arms Act. The Chief Prosecuting officer as per the direction of Court produced CD File and objections. Court after perusing the objections and CD file observed that in the objections prosecution has submitted that offences are of serious nature and investigation is still in progress, weapon of offence is till to be recovered. Court after considering the matter dismissed the bail application of the accused Sunny Choudhary. According to the police case on June 4, 2007, three motorcycles borne youth carrying sharp-edged weapons intercepted car number JK02AD-2300 near Kaluchak. After badly damaging the vehicle they attempted to kill the driver, however the driver brought out his pistol and shot dead one of the youth. The other two youth managed to escape from the spot. The police, however, foiled the attempt of the accused to flee from the spot and arrested the accused Shamsher Singh Charak. The deceased was identified as Vijay Kumar s/o Joginder Lal of Bishnah. It is disclosed that Vijay Kumar and Shamsher Singh has dispute over a piece of land. The deceased along with his associates decided to eliminate Shamsher Singh near Kaluchak but they were not aware of the fact that Shamsher Singh used to carry pistol with him
