| BJP MLA distributes cheques, sewing machines | | |
Jammu June 25- At an impressive function held at village Kah-Pota of Dansal block, Jugal Kishore Sharma BJP MLA from Nagrota Constituency today distributed sewing machines and cheques among the poor and deserving people of the constituency. These included 101 cheques of Rs 1200 each under old age category, 44 cheques of Rs.1200 each as widow pension,14 cheques of Rs 10,000 each under National Family Benefit Scheme (NFBS), 106 cheques of Rs.1800 each under Physically Handicapped category besides 15 sewing machines and cash assistance of Rs.3500.
Tehsil Social Welfare Officer Champa Sharma and a number of prominent local residents were also present at the function.
While addressing the beneficiaries, Sharma said that his constituency which is spread over a large area, houses maximum population of poor people and he is committed of their welfare and upliftment. He said it is a moment of great pleasure for him as he has got an opportunity to help the poor and needy people .He, on this occasion, declared that he will be working more vigorously to ensure that the benefits of the welfare-related schemes reach the deserving people.
Ex-Sarpanch of Kah-Pota Mohan Lal Mengi, Tarha Panchayat Chairman Mohammed Sadiq, Subhash sharma, Darshan Lal, Girdhari Lal Guggu, and Som Nath while addressing the gathering, expressed their thanks to the MLA for this noble cause and assured him of their full support.
