| Over Rs. 52 crore annual plan for Poonch district approved | | |
POONCH, JUNE 26
Over Rs. 52 crore annual plan has been approved for Poonch district in a District Development Board meeting held under the Chairmanship of Minister for R&B Mr. Gulchain Singh Charak here today.
This included Rs. 1564.31 lakh as Revenue component and Rs. 3679.99 lakh as Capital Component. The Plan Ceiling apparently seems lesser than last year but in fact has got substantially increased over the last year allocation as Revenue Component of number of Sectors has been transferred to Non-Plan. This year an amount of Rs. 265.59 lakh shall be spent on agriculture & allied activities, Rs.327.31 lakh on rural development, Rs.14.85 lakh on industries, Rs.970.00 lakh on communication. Rs. 50.00 lakh on Power, Rs. 2902.05 lakh on Social & General Services, Rs.14.50 lakh on Planning & Machinery and Rs. 700.00 lakh on infrastructural Dev. Fund.
Addressing the District Development Board Meeting, the Minister said that the engineers are the backbone of the government and playing vital role in completing ongoing development works with in stipulated time frame. He said that during one and half year tenure of Azad led government massive infrastructure development had been made in every nook and corner of the state. He stressed upon the engineer fraternity to remain present in respective stations and come up to the expectations of the general masses. He appealed all sections of the society to strengthening the hands of government machinery so that their day-to-day genuine problems are redressed on priority basis
