| VO presents challan against former DC Kupwara, Others | | |
Srinagar: June 26- State Vigilance Organization produced challan in case FIR No.19/2001 P/S VOK against former Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, his PA Altaf Hussain and 111 private persons in the Court of Special Judge Anti Corruption, Kashmir today for fraudulent drawal and disbursement of ex-gratia relief against damages to the property of migrants in Kupwara District.
The accused former DC, his PA and the private persons had entered into a criminal conspiracy for pecuniary benefits and prepared fake and forged records of damages to the immovable property of migrants in District Kupwara and fraudulently withdrawn over Rs.1.18 crores during 1997-98, from Government treasury and misappropriated.
