| Court grants pre-arrest bail to two persons involved in fake certificate case | | | JAMMU, JUNE 26 - Special Judge, Anticorruption, Jammu, Mr. Kartar Singh today granted interim bail in favour of Wahid Ahmed s/o Mohammed Aslam and Mohammed Azad Khan s/o Bag Hussain both residents of village Khanetar, Tehsil Haveli of Poonch district with the direction that in the event of arrest petitioner’s shall be admitted to interim bail on their furnishing bail bonds and personal bonds in the amount of Rs.10, 000 till final disposal of the petition. The duo is involved in a case registered by the Crime and Railway Police u/s 420, 46, 468, 471 RPC and 5(1) (d) (2) of PC Act 2006. Court further directed that the applicants shall attend the investigation as and when required. Adv Abhinav Sharma and Himanshu Beotra appeared for the petitioner’s in this bail application. According to the case, the Crime and Railway Police, after receiving complaints from unemployed youths of District Poonch, constituted a team to probe the matter. During the investigation, the team detected five accused having produced alleged fake Bachelor and Master degree certificates to get Government jobs as Rehbar-e-Taleem teachers. The accused produced certificates issued by various Universities, including Magadh University, and succeeded in getting appointment as ReT in the education department. Apprehending their arrest in the said case the petitioners sought pre-arrest bail which was granted by the Court with the directions to CPO to file objections.
