| SSH opposes Prathiba Patil’s nomination as President | | |
Jammu June 26—
Saying that the President of India should be a clean and crystal clear personality, Shiv Sena Hidustan (SSH) has strongly opposed the proposal of Congress President Sonia Gandhi to support Pritibha Patil as President of India, and burnt her effigy, here today.
Dimpy Kohli, President, of the party said, the proposal of Congress government to support Pritibha Patil as President, should be turned down by the other political parties, as she is found guiltily by a bank in Maharastra for not clearing her outstanding dues.” He also demanded that her candidature should be cancelled as President of India as this election is for the supreme chair of India and the person selected should be crystal clear.
Rajesh Kesri, State General Secretary asked Congress High command to immediately withdraw the nomination of Pritibha Patil and nominate Dr.Karan Singh as its Presidential candidate.
