Srinagar June 26 Police today claimed to have arrested four militants of Harkatul-Ul-Mujahideen (HUM) allegedly involved in series of killing and grenade blasts in Sopore town and its peripheries in Baramulla district of North Kashmir. "The arrested militants were involved in civilian killings and extortion of money on gunpoint from traders of Sopore town", a police officer told News Agency of Kashmir adding that the modus operandi of these militants was to threaten the traders and then extort. IED weighing 15 Kgs which was recovered and diffused on 23.06.2007 was also made by the same group. He added. He said that the said group was also found involved in the Grenade attack on leading businessman of Sopore Anyatullah Hajni, (FIR No: 62/2007 U/s 307-RPC, 7/27 A. Act.), Killing of one civilian Shahzaz Dar, resident of Dangerpora. The arrested militants have been identified as Aijaz Ahmad Reshi alias Abu Baker, son of Ab. Rahim Reshi, resident of Mundjee, Sopore, Mohd Amin Mir alias Jaffar alias Abu Hafiz, son of Ghulam Mohammed Mir, resident of Pazalpora, Sopore, Sajad Ahmad Dar alias Shoga, son of Ghulam Mohd Dar, resident of Shiva, Sopore, Saidullah Mir alias Sher Khan, son of Gh. Mohd, resident of Adipora Sopore and Bashir Ahmad Mir, son of Khazir Mohd, resident of Adiora, Sopore. One AK 47 rifle, four magazines, 120 rounds and three hand grenades were recovered from them
