| Army provides assistance to Nari Niketan | | |
Udhampur, Jun 27, 2007 In an endeavour to promote the spirit of National Integration and secularism public welfare measures are being undertaken under project 'Op Sadbhavana' by the Indian Army. It is a step in the direction of building harmonious relations with civilian population. A function was organised today at Battal Ballian under the aegis of HQ 71 Sub Area to hand over the furnished building of newly constructed Nari Niketan under project 'Op Sadbhavana'. Annie Panag, President AWWA, Northern Command graced the occasion and handed over the newly furnished building to the inmates of Nari Niketan. The building has been furnished with lot of interest and dedication. Due care has been taken to give a nice décor and a feel of comfort. Needless to say the complete project has been aimed at providing opportunities to the inmates for a better future. The inmates will now have facility of computers, library and indoor games within the four walls of Nari Niketan. The function was attended by various Army and Civil dignitaries.
