| HM commander killed | | | Rajouri, June 27
Army claimed to have gunned down a Commander of Hizbul Mujahideen militant outfit in Ansi Dhok area of Mandi, here today.
Sources claimed that troops of 60 Rashtriya Riffles on specific information launched a search operation in Kandi area of Rajouri this afternoon, adding the troops were fired upon by the militants which led to a gunfight.
Giving details of the operation, Defence spokesman, Col Goswami told News Agency of Kashmir that troops of 60 RR under uniform force launched a search operation on specific inputs about the presence of the HM Commander.
He said that one HM commander Qayoom alias Abu Masib-Ul-Islam son of Mohd Shafi of Karag area of Kandi in Rajouri was gunned down during the gun battle between the militant and troops adding, one Ak-47, two magazines and a radio set was recovered from the encounter site.
