| BJP’s “Save Ram Setu” campaign gains momentum | | | Jammu June 27— The signature campaign to ‘Save Ram Setu’ launched by Bhartiya Janta Party continued on the 2nd day, here today. The Party’s Mahila Morcha which has launched the signature campaign in order to mobilize the public opinion, to save the Ram Setu is gaining momentum with every passing day as more and more people are taking part in the signature campaign. According to reports over 5000 people took part in today’s signature campaign while 3000 had already done so yesterday. BJP Mahila Morcha, President, Usha Chowdhary said, “This huge public response shows the public displeasure against the UPA decision to destroy this historical bridge.” “The Mahila Morcha will not allow any attempt of demolishing or the removing the ancient Hindu landmark, and the roots of their roots in Indian civilization,’ she added. Lambasting the UPA for this ill conceived decision, Chowdhary said the decision has hurt the sentiments of the Hindus settled around the world and the government should withdraw its decision to honour the religious sentiments of the Hindus. He said that Morcha will organize such campaigns in all the districts of the state, to mobilize the public response and will also expose the government for adopting the anti-Hindu policies, to demolish the Ram Setu. On this occasion, Suresh Jamwal, Anjali Khanna, Rajni Sethi, Priya Sethi, Raj Rani, Kiran Salathia and Kamla Gupta were also present.
