| Abdi Kunj organizes poetic meet at Kupwara | | |
Jammu | June 27 Abdi Kunj, a multi- lingual literary forum of the state organized a special poetic meet at district Kupwara in Kashmir Valley. Suresh Rahi Secretary of the forum was instrumental in holding the meet at Gujjar Bakerwal hostel in which a large number of poets of different languages took part .Fareed Mohammed Chaudhary presided. . At the outset, Rahi threw light on Adbi Kunj’s 33 year service in the cause of creative literature and said that budding writers/poets of all languages spoken in State were being encouraged and imparted necessary skills in the art of poetry/story writing by well known and acknowledged writers/poets of repute like S.S. Anand Lehar, Sham Talib, Talib Kashmiri, Mst. Nargis Sitara Bukhair, Jaswant Singh and R.K. Bharti. Chaudhary lauded the role of Adbi Kunj and thanked Suresh Rahi for taking initiative to organize the poetic meet at Kupwara. In the poetic meet those who recited their ghazals included Ghulam Farooq (English), Mohd Anwar Chaudhary (Gojri), Aijay Ahmed Chaudhary (Pahari), Sadiq Ali (Kashmiri) Akhtar Ali (Urdu), Suresh Rahi (Urdu and Dogri) and Fareed Mohd. Chaudhary (Gojri). The meet concluded with vote of thanks presented by Ghulam Farooq, an active member of Adbi Kunj who expressed his gratitude to Fareed Mohd. Chaudhary for making the poetic meet a great success.
