| SWA demands CBI probe in irregularities ration distribution | | |
Kishtwar June 27 Social Welfare Association (SWA) Kishtwar has demanded CBI probe in the alleged large scale bungling worth Rs 6.70 crore in the ration supply in the far remote areas of Kishtwar. He also alleged a nexus between the department and the black marketers have snatched food from the poor people. Ajeet Kumar chairman of the above said association has alleged that due to an unholy nexus between the black marketers and the employees of the said department has left the people to live to hand to mouth in the want of food grains in the remote areas of Kishtwar. He said the areas which were worst hit by this unholy nexus include Kishtwar to Gulabgarh; Pathimhalla; Soundher; Suit; Inshan; Yourdu; Marwah –Dachhan and Machail; Ishtiyari; Soul ; Gandhari Tund etc in Paddar. He alleged that Kartar Singh, Punjab Singh, Som Nath, Babu Ram, Sujjan Singh, Jugal Kishore, Ashok Kumar, Moti Lal Sharma, Manzoor Hussain and Daulat Ram posted at various places have been involved in allegedly pilferaging and embezzling the government ration for BPL and poor families. Chairman SWA has asked the chief minister Ghulam Nabi Azad to personally intervene the matter and instruct the concerned senior officials to take immediate action against guilty.
