| Verification, authentication of Ration cards in full swing: DC Udhampur | | | Early Times Report
UDHAMPUR, June 6: Under the overall supervision and on the directions of District Development Commissioner, Udhampur Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, the verification and authentication of BPL/APL Lists and inclusion of additional families for distribution of Ration as per 2011 Census is going in full swing across district Udhampur.
The process is being carried out by holding Gram and Ward Sabhas and about 159 Gram Sabhas have been held at 159 out of total 204 panchayats, while Ward sabhas are also being held to complete the process in Municipality areas .
The People of the area have welcomed the initiative of District Administration and are extending full cooperation in the process of verification of APL/BPL families. These Gram Sabhas/Ward are being conducted under the guidance of the respective Tehsildars / BDOs / TSOs.
The aim of these Ration Card Gram/Ward Sabhas is to ensure inclusion of all deserving families in respective categories and subsequent distribution of ration with universal coverage. |
