THIRD FRONT under consideration: HARSH
6/29/2007 12:31:07 AM

Jammu,June 28,

The panthers Party, which has four MLAs,after having
quit the ruling coalition has decided to consider
suggestions from CPIM leader and MLA,Mr Mohd.Yasuf
Tarigami, for floating a third front in Jammu and
Kashmir in case the ongoing conflict between the
Congress and the PDP further escalated.
Leader of the Panthers Party in the state
legislature,Mr Harsh Dev singh, said here today "we can
explore the possibility of forming the third front as
suggested by Mr Tarigami but first of all the CPIM
leader and those with him should quit the ruling
alliance." And Tarigami should first of all divulge
the programme on which a third front could be
formed, said Panthers Party leader adding that "we
cannot join hands with those who do not show the
courage in quiting the ruling coalition for personal
benefits and then start criticising it."
He said "those constituents which are dismayed over
the nonperformance of the Government should come out
of the coalition and then alone can the formation of
the third front be discussed with them. They too should
muster courage by following the path we have shown."
Mr Harsh Dev claimed that number of MLAs,who are a
disgruntled lot, have met him and expressed their
desire to come out of the ruling coalition. He said "I
told them first resign and then we can together
formulate our strategy."He said "I am sure militants
will take advantage of the growing conflict between
the PDP and the Congress and of total nonperformance
of the Government."He wanted the Government of India
to read the "writing on the wall and initiate steps in
the right direction by dismissing the Government to be
followed by fresh election".
