Jammu Jun 8: The Speaker, Legislative Assembly (LA) Kavinder Gupta while visiting Rajiv Gandhi Sports Museum said the memorabilia should be exhibited and Museum may be shifted to some suitable place so that more people can see the collection. ‘This will enable the General Public and students to have glimpse of the valuable collections and incentive, the Speaker, Legislative Assembly Kavinder Gupta said with appreciation for the collection. Mr Gupta was of the view that all collections of Prof Ashutosh Sharma from 1969 including Lepel Pins, Mementoes of all the Countries, Photographs with top dignitaries of the World, Blazers, Accreditation Cards should be exhibited and Museum may be shifted to some suitable place. He appreciated the good work, dedication, sincere efforts of Prof. Sharma for the promotion and development of Sports in the State and the Country. At the same time he assured all help and cooperation to Sharma for his dream of “Heritage” Museum in near future. The said Sports Museum has been setup by Professor Ashutosh who has dedicated it to former Prime Minister Late Rajiv Gandhi who has been the spirit behind the successful conduct of IX ASIAN Games in 1982 at Delhi. Earlier, Professor Ashutosh, briefed the visiting personality and told that the collection is his 60 years long voyage in the field of Sports at State at National and International levels.
