| OGW apprehended | | |

The Army authorities have today said that, based on specific information of presence of HM militants in general area Khaur, Gulabgarh, troops of 59 Rashtriya Rifles (ASSAM) launched a search operation, on the night of 27 June 2007. Before the troops could enter the suspected house, three unidentified personnel quickly came out and started running away. On being challenged and asked to stop, they continued running.
Only one person could be apprehended where as the other two managed to escape. Apprehended person has been identified as Nasir Ahmed, age 38 years son of Ghulam Ali, resident of Village Khaur who acts as guide to the militants. The apprehended OGW has been handed over to Police
