| 2 labourers die of poisoning | | |
Srinagar June 27
Two labourers hailing from Bihar died and another was hospitalized when they accidentally consumed some poisonous substance in Shopian area of South Kashmir.
Reports from the area revealed that three labourers assembled at the house of one of them to consume liquor in the outskirts of Shopian town, late last evening. However, instead of consuming liquor, the labourers accidentally took some poisonous substance.
Identified as Saif Ullah Ansari, Muhammad Ansari and Muhammad Khursheed Alam of Panchari Champaran Bihar fell unconscious and were shifted to a local hospital. However, Saifullah and Muhammad Ansari died in the hospital, while Khursheed was later shifted to SMHS Hospital Srinagar for treatment.
Police said that it has registered a case and started investigation. The family members were being questioned in this regard, sources said.
