| JAM demands probe of fake ornaments in SMVD shrine | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, June 14: Jammu Adhikar Manch (JAM) today held protest in which they demanded probe of fake ornaments in Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine.
According to press release, manch president, Raj Kumar President said that delay in getting the investigations made in scandal of fake silver and gold and an amount of Rs. 1470 crore misappropriations has given a serious setback to the religious sentiments of crores of devotees.
"Already, the matter was brought to the notice of Prime Minister a year back for consideration", Kumar said, adding that PMO is hiding the facts and playing with the religious sentiments of crores of devotees. It has further been said that PMO has been shielding the corrupt practices and the persons indulged in corruption which has given boost to corrupt practices. As such questions have been raised on the working of the Prime Minister.
He further said that during elections the leaders had assured that corruption shall be uprooted and shall not be allowed at any cost. He has alleged that by delaying the investigations the government have been playing with the sentiments of the devotees which have made them to feel depressed.
The matter had been raised last year wherein it was said that mass misappropriations have taken place in Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board and donations of fake Gold and Silver ornaments.
He further demanded that investigations to entrusted to CBI to ascertain the facts for booking the defaulters under law for stern lawful action within a weeks' time failing which fast unto death shall be observed by Raj Kumar in association with other members of the Manch besides protests will be started throughout and door to do support shall be sought for making protects for which the government shall be responsible.
"This is a hatched conspiracy of the authorities to hide the facts and had demanded that a thorough CBI investigation in the matter to bring the facts to light. The fast unto death strike shall be assisted by some political and social organizations. Manch also demand to all those groups to issued the white paper these group on Hindutave issue likes RSS, BHP and All Shiv Senas", Raj Kumar concluded. |
